Meet the Team

A View From The Hill (AVFTH) was founded by Edward Ryder, of Biskit Ltd in 2012, and is now a Community Interest Company that is quickly gathering momentum in both the business and voluntary sector.

At the beginning of 2013 Ed established a team of non-executive directors to provide AVFTH with a broad range of expertise and guidance.

VictoriaVictoria Gardner
I started at AVFTH back in August last year as an intern managing the marketing and promotion of networking events. I quickly fell in love with the concept and believe I’ve helped to lay strong foundations for the future. As NED, I want to see that the company’s full potential is realised, whilst staying true to our original ethos.

I’m currently studying Politics (BA) at the University of Leeds, and sit on the Leeds RAG Committee as Secretary.

I have been a journalist for 30 years and started my own PR agency two years ago. I want business and the third sector to be well represented and get their message into the public domain effectively. My motivation for agreeing to give of my time to A View From The Hill is that it brings together third sector partners with businesses for the greater good.

Running his own business, he now works with MD’s, senior teams and sales directors across multiple sectors to develop & deliver sustainable growth. Commercially biased, his strength is strong relationship development, clear sales planning and his wealth of connections.

His MA in Company Direction offers a vast knowledge of corporate structure and governance.

Keith High ResKeith Madeley
Keith is well known both inside and outside the financial service industry for his innovative approach and creativity in providing products that are relevant to the man in the street as well as the highflying individual or company. In his twenties Keith established his own company which serviced clients from Edinburgh to London and abroad, finally selling it in 2004 to Yorkshire Investment Group to enable him to pursue the bigger picture.

Keith, as Chairman of the Yorkshire Society (which is now recognised as a significant centre of influence) and also as Chairman of a number of organisations in the Private and Third Sectors, engages with local communities in apolitical, non-religious discussions which are bearing fruit and promoting harmony and understanding thus seeking and finding a way forward for the future good of all.

I am keen to see A View From The Hill thrive and hope that my expertise as a public relations and communication professional helps make a difference to an organisation making a difference. I have over two decades of practical communications experience, allied to dealing with social policy and industrial relations, gathered across work in the public, not for profit and private sectors .

I have edited magazines, written for newspapers and generally had lots of experience putting words (and pictures) together to tell a story and get messages across. Keen to use social media to build positive relationships and provide extra opportunities to share information.

I live on the edge of the Dales in West Yorkshire with my wife and daughter, and among other things take in Guiseley FC matches and chair the NUJ PR and Communications Council in what passes for spare time.

Sandra is an entrepreneur with a keen interest in helping people to achieve their desired ambition. She has a social housing background with a track record of success in Corporate Strategy, specialising in strategic planning and multifaceted regeneration projects. Her final project was to turn a failing housing charity around to one that was sustainable and, having completed nearly 40 years in the corporate world, she left to establish her own business in the field of Natural Health & Wellbeing.

Since then she has built a reputation as a prolific networker and volunteer. Helping individuals, businesses and charities to connect and build relationships which have integrity and are mutually beneficial to all parties. She has experience of corporate governance accountability and an understanding and the complexity of the ‘third’ sector.
