Christmas Catch Up

Tuesday, December 11th 2012

As Christmas draws near, I thought I’d take a second to look back on all A View From The Hill has achieved.

We have organised 10 networking events in the past 5 months, and met lots of people who want to make a difference.

We’ve already heard of fantastic partnerships happening as a result of these events, David Jefferies from Meanwood Valley Urban Farm attended our Leeds event in September and got in touch with us to say:

We now have a volunteer working on a plant sales project seeking to develop sales with a working plan over the next 2/3 years…

I was contacted by a rotary member with his own industrial company interested in helping the Farm in anyway possible… I asked for advice about cleaning the greenhouse and instead he arranged for one of his sub contractors to undertake a thorough clean.

This was a direct result of your interest and support for the Farm.

In January we will be taking our networking events to London, Manchester and Huddersfield, check out our events page to see how you can book your free ticket.

But that’s just the beginning! 2013 is set to be a great year; seeing the launch of A View From The Hill conferences as well as running networking events in 20 different locations, visiting each place 3 times a year.

If you’re from a charity and would like to offer your facilities for an event then please get in touch, and email me: victoria@aviewfromthehill.co.uk

Whether you’re from a charity or looking to volunteer, make it your New Year’s Resolution to come to our events, you never know where a conversation might take you!

In the meantime, join the conversations on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and of course, have a lovely Christmas!
