Yesterday, Victoria of A View From The Hill attended Tom Riordan’s talk with Yorkshire Talking Heads, a new venture that seeks to inspire and explore success. Ed Ryder, founder of A View From The Hill and Director of Biskit Ltd launched the venture last year, with Keith Madeley, Chairman of Yorkshire Society.
The event was held at the Leeds Club, where 80 people from business, marketing, and public sectors came as well as students from the Leeds Met and University. The Works Recruitment and NED Connections kindly sponsored the event. Bradley Wilkinson of The Works Recruitment said “I thought it went down a treat! Great venue, great turnout, great speaker.”
Tom Riordan is known to many of us across Yorkshire for his work with Yorkshire Forward, and more recently as CEO of Leeds City Council. However, less familiar are the points in his career that have helped make him the youngest CEO in the history of the council, his views on future business growth and the opportunities for Leeds and the broader community. We were lucky enough to listen to his experience of success.
A View From The Hill will be working closely with Yorkshire Talking Heads, as success can be achieved in numerous areas and through different methods – including volunteering! You can find out about our upcoming events here.
