Choosing to help a charity or community group can be one of the most liberating and worthwhile things you can do with your spare time.

If you have not yet looked at volunteering, then the range of benefits that can result from volunteering is very broad.

In addition to the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping a good cause, you are also helping to build new contacts, engage with new concepts and ideas and put your skills to use in a completely different way… a great training challenge in itself.

If you are already an active volunteer, then you will already be familiar with these benefits and more.

What skills do you have to offer though? Do you want to use your work based skills, or something you have developed in your personal time?

Skills such as IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing, PR, Change Management are always in demand by charities. However, you might also have Customer Service skills, General Business knowledge.

Speaking with a charity or community group at one of our networking events can be especially rewarding when you find out how much people appreciate you and your skills.

A View From The Hill would be delighted for you to meet us, other volunteers and charities at one of our free networking events. Please click here for details of upcoming events.

You don’t have to make a volunteering commitment at the event, and there is no maximum or minimum time commitment.
